Honey in the Sky
The meeting this week was wonderful. But then again, aren't they all? It brought out (if you haven't had your meeting) the importance of giving praise and encouragement. And I'm pretty sure that we all feel sometimes that we are not receiving Jehovah's approval. And that feeling can bring us down. But I liked this one comment that's in that Watchtower article, where a sister mentioned that when someone gives her praise, that really encourages her, because that is how Jehovah is giving her His approval, by the brother or sister that gave her that praise. And isn't that very true? Of course it is, silly goose! So whenever we receive praise, Jehovah is giving us praise. And, it works the other way too. Whenever WE give someone praise, Jehovah is using US to give it. How cool is that?! No wonder the article had cited Acts 20.35, where Jesus says that there is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving. Narly!

Have a great day.

I just got back from my meeting about that... it was a nice reminder. Someone stated not to be like "that was a nice talk" but to be specific as to show more interest. But I was checking the blogs this evening, my cousins blog mostly (but you are both named Roy so I check on yours too). He started a new treatment and all is not well... his newest reaction made me think of Luke 22:44, how much stress Jesus was under... and for us. "Miserable man that I am! Who will rescue me from the body undergoing this death? Thanks to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So, then, with [my] mind I myself am a slave to God’s law, but with [my] flesh to sin’s law. (Romans 7:24-25)

havent visited for a while but just wanted to comment that i REALLY liked that talk. i STILL remember a comment a sister made to me a bit negative and it made a HUGE diffrence on me going out on service. i stopped for a LONG time cuz i felt her words more real then anything. she might not have meant anything bad by it but i felt it. so PLEASE if any one sees this comment dont discourage thouse that try cuz u can make a HUGE diffrence even if u think your words dont mean a lot. just now that negative comment is BEARLY meaning less to me and that was done like in my early 20's and now i am in my mid-late 20's
